In August 2009 this journalist returned to Ghana and founded a shelter and school along with the American NGO Touchalifekids (www.touchalifekids.org).
"CHILDREN OF THE HEART" mission is to report child slavery in Ghana and the exploitation of children in the world.
The project "Children of the heart" was born with the great TVI report - Infância Traficada (Trafficked Childhood)- in 2007, which reported child slavery in the fishing activity in Lake Volta.
Alexandra Borges, a TVI journalist and founder of the Children of the Heart Association, started by rescuing 3 children to whom she paid Education from her own pocket.
Sold by the parents themselves for less than 30 euros. The Children of the Heart Association has rescued some of these children from slavery in the fishing activity in Lake Volta and now protects them by providing them with health, food, security and education.
In this sense, this association challenged Brandtellers Studio to develop the entire strategy of action in online digital media, promoting a message of social responsibility and an appeal to its cause.

This is the action motto of the project Children of the Heart and that opens the website.
The website was developed based on a structure and design capable of reflecting the essence of the project, in a complete and clear way.
For this project it was necessary to concentrate on a single platform the universe of the association, more especifically, all its values, its mission, the several projects which the association is permanently developing, an area for donations and another area for sales and auction of donations given to the Association.

The website is thus the gateway to the Children of the Heart project.
Developed with responsive technology that allows its visualization in any platform, it offers the possibility to integrate some functionalities, namely the online store (e-commerce), promoting the participation / collaboration of the audience, in different possible ways.
The e-commerce (online store) integrated in the website, presents several products by famous people whose sale aims to support this charity cause.
The auction and the donation area also allow, in a quick, simple and safe way, to contribute.
